Volunteer with catspan


Calling all volunteers…we need you! 

CatSpan is growing rapidly and so is the number of cat colonies we provide food and shelter for. In order to keep pace with our increasing number of colonies we are in need of volunteers willing to: 

  • Feed and monitor colonies
  • Trap and release cats
  • Transport cats to and from vet clinics
  • Provide post-surgery recovery (1-3 days)
  • Coordinate annual Book & Garage sale
  • Coordinate annual silent auction
  • Coordinate semi-annual food drives
  • Coordinate grant applications
  • Coordinate summer markets and events such as Art In The Garden, Nanoose Bay Days, Craig Street and Parksville Museum Markets
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers
  • Pick up, store and transport garage sale items
  • Photographers
  • Put up flyers and posters
  • Canvass door to door spay/neuter campaign
