CatSpan Ferals Registered Charity (CFRC) is a non-profit, registered Canadian charity. For almost 30 years, CFRC has cared for thousands of abandoned, stray, or feral cats in the Oceanside community on Vancouver Island. We are strictly volunteer-based and rely solely on donations and fundraising events. 100% of all proceeds go directly towards feline care. CatSpan's initiatives include:
- Responding to concerns about abandoned, stray, or feral cats and assisting as needed.
- Providing vet care for all of our felines, from basic spay/neuter and vaccines, to urgent rescue cases in need of life-saving treatment.
- Organizing adoptions for cats who are ready for life with loving humans.
- Coordinating our Barn Cat Program, where feral cats are relocated to safe, rural properties in cooperation with willing property owners.
- Educating the community about cats in need and other important feline topics.

We would like to say massive THANK YOU for making our GivingTuesday fundraiser such a success!! We are overflowing with appreciation to you all. We surpassed our $10,000 donation matching goal!
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our amazing supporter who stepped forward with the donation matching offer. We are also very grateful to have received a surprise large donation today from true cat lovers, which really boosted us towards our GivingTuesday goal. We received $12,694 in donations, AND the $10,000 matched donation! Thanks to the generosity, of our supporters we will be able to rescue, rehome, and provide medical attention to many more cats in the year to come. Kitties & Cream is located at #101-437 Fitwilliam St. They accept item donations for CatSpan and host some of our adoptables in their meet-and-greet room. Kitties & Cream also sells a range of cat supplies and merchandise.
Coastal City Animal Hospital is located at #105-1849 Dufferin Cr. They accept donations of cash, food, litter (plant-based please), toys, and other supplies for CatSpan's cats in need!

Bosley's (North Nanaimo) is located at 6894 Island Highway. They accept donations of cash, food, litter (plant-based please), toys, and other supplies for CatSpan's rescued kitties, as well as hosting some of our cats for adoption.
