T-Bird (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
T-Bird was rescued with five kittens when the family popped out from under an old car that was going to be restored. That’s how she got her name. Seeing how comfortable T-Bird is in her foster home - hanging out on windowsills and the couch, lounging on cat posts, playing up and down the stairs - we strongly suspect she was someone’s beloved kitten, who was put outside when she went into her first heat, instead of spaying her. She wasn’t even a year old when she was rescued with her babies.
T-Bird has found a loving home! In addition to doting people, T-Bird will have a feline brother, who was adopted from CatSpan a year ago. |
Ebi and Tomago (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Named after the shrimp in Japanese sushi—and shrimply the cutest—Ebi is a 6-month-old kitten who truly beat the odds. Once the runt of his litter, Ebi faced a life-threatening infection at just three weeks old. He was bottle-fed around the clock and with plenty of hands-on care, the little fighter didn’t just survive—he thrived. Today, he’s proudly the largest of his four siblings.
Hand-raised during his recovery, Ebi is deeply bonded to people and adores human attention. He adapts easily to any situation, purrs almost nonstop, and even loves having his nails trimmed. Whether he’s cuddling with his people or romping with his many littermates, Ebi brings joy and confidence to every moment. Just like the sushi he’s named after, Tomago is crafted with care and sweetened to perfection. Raised in a foster home with five other kittens, this confident boy has become a playful, easy-going, and affectionate companion who takes life in stride. Tomago is a true people-kitten. He loves to cuddle, isn’t shy about climbing onto shoulders for a better view (or extra closeness), and has a loud, happy purr that shows he’s content. He’s friendly and relaxed, making him a joy to have around. He’s also had positive exposure to a cat-savvy dog and a respectful young child, so he’d do well in a home with gentle kids or calm pets. We are thrilled these two brothers have been adopted together! |
Darrel and Miso (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Darrel is a sleek, shiny black kitten with a big heart and an even bigger love of people. From the moment you meet him, it’s clear he’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and curious. One of Darrel’s most charming quirks is his use of his front paws almost like hands—holding onto toys, an open door, and even the lid of his carrier.
Darrel was found as an undernourished solo kitten, weighing barely 600 grams. Once he'd cleared quarantine, his foster mom added Darrel to the "Bento Box" (the five kittens of Sushi litter who are close to Darrel's age). Darrel benefited from the companionship and socialization of growing up with other kittens. Constant playmates helped him develop into the confident, well-adjusted panther he is today—proof that kittens who grow up together learn important social skills and gain comfort from always having a buddy. Like her namesake, Miso is soulful, savoury, and full of depth. This lovely tortie defies the stereotype—instead of being a diva, Miso is easy-going, affectionate, and wonderfully sociable. She gets along beautifully with other cats and has a playful side she loves to show off, especially when toys and wand games are involved. After a good play session, Miso is more than happy to settle in for cozy cuddles with her people, making her the best of both worlds: fun and affectionate. Congratulations to Darrel and Miso's forever person! |
Nugget (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Nugget has been chosen by his forever person! This precious boy came to us in November, from a remote northern community, when he was put outside because the family dogs were threatening him. With winter coming, and outdoor dogs in the community (and wolves in the forest), Nugget would not have survived for long. Thankfully, a flight angel was travelling to Vancouver Island and was able to bring Nugget into our care.
“Smoochy” doesn’t begin to describe Nugget. He immediately rolled over for tummy rubs when he met the applicant today: LOVE! His adopter had read Nugget’s story, spoken with our adoption coordinator, thought things through carefully before meeting Nugget in purrson: kinda like ‘love at first sight, with research’. Wishing Nugget (who may be renamed Gus) and his person every happiness. Huge gratitude to everyone who linked together to get Nugget from danger to ‘happily ever after’. |
Holly (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Smoochy and social, Holly is so affectionate she practically wiggles for attention. She will tell you how much she enjoys your friendship in her gentle voice. This slender house panther was surrendered into our care with her kittens during the dark days of winter. Her future will be so much brighter in a loving family, with people time and toys. Although, truthfully, she’ll choose people over toys.
This rescued retired momma cat will have two feline sisters, and two doting humans. Congratulations to Holly’s forever family! And thank you Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting Holly. Your staff are so kind to boost her confidence while she was with you. |
Bessie (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Bessie is a playful mini-panther: chasing wand toys and the laser red dot; playing on her own with ping pong balls and toy mice. Super food motivated, Bessie has started clicker training.
She is rightfully proud of her “T-Rex”, standing on her hind legs and reaching for her treat. Bessie was rescued from hard circumstances. She is clearly comfortable in a home and doesn’t want to go outside, but we suspect she didn’t have good experiences with people. Because Bessie was part of a large “extended family”, she has excellent inter-cat social skills. We are thrilled this sweetheart has found her furrever home. |
Biscuit (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
An affectionate boy, Biscuit enjoys lap snuggles and bum scritches, purring away contentedly. As the name suggests, he also makes the sweetest biscuits. Chasing the laser dot fascinates Biscuit. And he’s absolutely obsessed with his ‘floppy fish’ toy, pouncing on it until the batteries need to be recharged, then doing it again. And again.
His adopter is a patient, kind person. Biscuit liked her calm energy so much when they first met in the Kitties & Cream meet-and-greet room the he came out of his kitty tunnel, strolled over to a pet bed, and then leaned into her touch. A perfect pairing! |
Dipsy & Po (ADOPTED, February 2026)
|
Dipsy looks as if she dipped the tip of her nose in black ink, a charming feature that distinguishes her from her sibling Po. Calm-natured and content, she’s easily entertained and happy to play independently. Whether it’s a cardboard box or a catnip-filled toy, Dipsy can find fun in anything. Inquisitive and thoughtful, she would love a home with plenty of space to explore at her own pace.
Po has a gentle, sweet nature and would be happiest in a calm home. She loves playing and cuddling with her siblings and is rarely found alone—usually nestled atop a tower in a cozy puddle of kittens. Tunnels and laser toys are among her favourite activities, where she can play and burn off kitten energy. Dipsy and Po are named after the beloved TV show Teletubbies. We are so grateful that another pair of adorable litter mates have been adopted together! Wishing Dipsy and Po all the best with their new furrever family. |
Dashboard & Tailgate (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Sweet and curious, Dashboard knows what he likes and isn't shy about gently asking for it once he trusts you. He loves affection, lifting his shoulders for pets and giving polite head boops. He also loves food—especially squeeze tube treats! Before being rescued from the parking lot of an autobody shop, Dashboard would wait faithfully beside an employee's car, hoping for food—a glimpse into his self-assured determination and trust in people.
Tailgate is a sweet and gentle girl. So silky-soft, and she’ll lean into your touch. This gorgeous tortie is playful and affectionate, but prefers to take things at her own pace, often sitting back and watching before joining in the action. Slightly more reserved than her boisterous brothers, Tailgate isn't one to demand the spotlight (or treats), but she enjoys companionship and bonds quietly with those she trusts. Adding to her charm, Tailgate has an endearing little twist at the end of her tail. Dashboard enjoys the company of his siblings but is also comfortable on his own. Dashboard and his siblings Tailgate and Rocker Panel have such unique names because they were rescued from the parking lot of a local autobody shop as kittens, who showed up looking for food. CatSpan is delighted that Dashboard (now "Dash") and Tailgate (now "Tally") are going home together! Congrats to these lucky babies and their forever family. |
Winky (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Another graduate of the Teletubbies litter, Winky is full of energy and always on the move. Curious and playful, he thrives in a busy home with plenty of activity and enrichment to keep his sharp mind engaged. After he’s burned off some energy, Winky becomes a champion snuggler and enjoys quiet moments curled up on a warm lap or with one of his siblings. Concatulations to Winky and his forever family!
We are grateful to Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting this handsome fella! |
Tinky (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Tinky is a confident, outgoing girl who loves being right in the middle of the action. She thrives in an active household with plenty to see, do, and explore. Playtime with her siblings is a favourite pastime, but she’s equally happy settling in for cuddles and quality time with her people.
Tinky and her litter mates are named after the beloved TV show Teletubbies, and each one has a personality as special as their name. Raised in foster care with lots of love, they enjoy playtime, human companionship, and time with their siblings. |
Cranberry & Brussel Sprout (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Cranberry is the cutie in the fluffy tuxedo, easygoing and calm natured, for a kitten. A playful yet cautious explorer. Cranberry’s favourite game is to ambush, pounce and chase her sister, Brussel Sprout, and the adult cat in her foster family.
Cranberry and her sister, Brussel Sprout, were rescued from the middle of a busy country road on Thanksgiving Sunday by a quick-thinking motorist. They’ve grown into healthy happy ladies. Sprout is described as “a Master of Mischief” with an insatiable curiosity, following her person around like a little shadow, trying to “help” with everything except vacuuming. We are so pleased these two were adopted together! Thank you to Kitties & Cream for hosting them in the meet-and-greet room. |
Rocker Panel (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
The moment he feels your touch, Rocker Panel relaxes completely, melting into your hand to soak up the affection. He's a quiet, gentle soul, but eager to engage—especially if squeeze tube treats are involved.
Rocker Panel and his siblings were rescued from the parking lot of a local autobody shop as kittens, who showed up looking for food. Thank you to Kitties & Cream for hosting Rocker Panel in their meet-and-greet room! |
Panna Cotta (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
The last of the “Fancy Dessert Kittens” has been found his forever family.
Congratulations to Panna Cotta and his people! Panna Cotta is the only boy in the litter. He may have a small frame, but his personality is anything but small. He absolutely loves people and makes sure you know it—with loud purrs, enthusiastic cuddles, and plenty of charm. Affectionate and confident, he’s happiest when he’s close to his humans and soaking up attention. |
Scuppy (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
“Probably the easiest cat I have ever fostered,” is how Scuppy’s foster mom describes her. And she has fostered many many cats. This fluffy lady enjoys being with her foster mom, “helping” her with quilting and asking for pets. In fact, Scuppy prefers affectionate touch over playtime.
Scuppy - we’re not sure the meaning of her name - came into our care when her person had to move and couldn’t find pet-friendly housing. This mature gentle lady is delighted to have her second forever family. |
Tiramisu (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Tiramisu is from the “Fancy Dessert Kittens” litter. Tiramisu is a gentle soul who may take a little time to feel comfortable. Initially cautious, she warms up beautifully once she gets to know you. Her favourite way to be introduced is simple and sweet—give her the chance to sniff your hand, and you’re on your way to earning her trust. It’s important that her people don’t rush the introductions by reaching out to pick her up. Instead, please let her decide when she’s ready. And when she’s ready… She’s a complete snuggle monster!
This little lady is joining a loving family with other friendly kitties, and doting humans. |
Pavlova (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Pavlova is from the “Fancy Dessert Kittens” litter. Pavlova embodies the group’s bold, adventurous spirit. Outgoing and highly active, she’s an impressive jumper who can easily reach high surfaces. She loves being up high—especially when it’s time to sleep—and you’ll often find her perched above, keeping an eye on everything below.
Congratulations to Pavlova's forever family! And thank you to Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting this sweetie! |
Cavendish (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
This regal boy, in his fluffy tuxedo, has a tail so impressive that it should have a name of its own. But Cavy has his goofy side especially for treats and wand toys. He will slide across the floor to capture tossed kibbles: one of his favourite games. He’ll race up and down his climbing post to chase a wand toy or the elusive red dot of the laser toy.
Cavy was rescued with his whole extended family. Now he's has packed his toys, his keepsake blanket, and a supply of the food he’s used to, and is on his way to his forever family! |
Ohtani & Soto (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Ohtani, and his baseball brother Soto, are affectionate and playful.
Ohtani is a sweetheart, when he knows you, will ask for attention with determined head boops and by rubbing against you. He likes touch even more than he likes playtime. Treats are also his favourite. Combine squeeze tubes and pets, and this boy will feel he’s hit a grand slam. Soto is the high-energy baseball brother. He has GAME, chasing the wand toy until he’s panting yet not wanting to stop. After playing hard, once you’ve put the toy away, he does enjoy touch, rubbing against you and lifting his shoulders in appreciation of your pets. You can tell the brothers apart because Ohtani wears a white “O” on the front of his grey “jersey”. Sweet Soto wears the solid-grey “jersey” and has dark-amber eyes. We are delighted that these boys were adopted into a loving home together. |
Darby & Devon (ADOPTED, January 2026)
|
Darby is the ultimate “momma cat”: rubbing on all the cats she meets, calm and gentle. A nurturing soul. She also enjoys her people, wanting to be close, and not just for treats. A gorgeous lady in a fluffy tuxedo. Darby was rescued with her daughters, Devon and Bessie, who both love their momma.
Darby and her daughter, Devon, have been adopted TOGETHER! They have such a special relationship, which they’ll be able to continue furever. Their adopters seriously considered adopting Devon’s sister, Bessie, as well but are limited to two cats in their apartment. As we celebrate the happily every after for these ladies, let’s also work together to find families for Bessie and our other adoptable rescued cats. |
Harley (ADOPTED, December 2025)
Cowboy (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
An energetic boy, who will run until he’s panting and still want more. A lap cat, who will curl up on you and lull you with reverberating purrs. A chatty conversationalist, who will look right into your eyes to tell you his news and ask about your day.
Cowboy is all these in one absolutely adorable package: big amber eyes and the cutest pink nose, which turns dark rose when his blood gets pumping during playtime. Thick plush fur. White socks. Loves to wrestle and play with other kitties his own age, whom he knows well. In addition to squeeze-tube dispensing children, Cowboy will have two feline sisters, one his own age to hooliganize with. Oh, and two doting adults to look after all the necessities. Wishing this sweetheart and his forever family happy trails! |
Songbird (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
Songbird is the quiet, more observant kitten of the group. It takes a bit more to get her to engage at times but she's good with being held, will crawl into your lap to watch her siblings race around the room.
She is quite playful when she gets going. She also likes churu tubes. Songbird will definitely need to be adopted with a sibling or have another friendly cat in her forever family. Songbird was adopted with her sister, Cedar! This is the best situation that we could've hoped for. |
Cedar Waxwing (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
Cedar is a quiet, silky little black panther, who loves to play and has amazing hunting/jumping skills when playing with wand toys or sneak attacks on her siblings. She loves her churu treats, playing in tunnels and is good with being held.
She can be a bit skittish with load noises or too much action happening at once and might run and hide for a moment. But she will come back and play soon after a brief reset. Will do best with a sibling or another cat to help with continuing confidence. We are thrilled that Cedar was adopted with her sister, Songbird! Congratulations to their forever family! |
Coco Chanel (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
Coco is a petite, fluffy sweetheart full of playfulness and quiet charm. Follows her person around the home, asking for attention. Playful and active, especially zoomies all around the house. In her quieter moments, Coco enjoys birdwatching out the window and on screen. In fact, Lady Coco enjoys Cat TV so much, her foster mom set up a TV in the foster room.
Coco was handled roughly as a kitten and young cat, before she came into CatSpan’s care, so she can get overwhelmed. But she wants to be pet soooo much that she’ll come right up to you and rub herself against you. Coco is a little reminder of how far a gentle heart can go when given safety and time. We are grateful to Coco’s foster families and their care and patience that helped Coco blossom. You can learn more on our Foster page. Now Coco has found the purrfect home with her forever person! |
Woody (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
Woody (short for Woodpecker) is the most vocal “Songbird”. He follows his people and siblings around everywhere because he's not big on being alone; he will cry until he finds you. Loves to be held and cuddle.
He is the biggest biscuit maker ever and has a purr to match! He is just the sweetest little lovebug. Would definitely do best with a furry friend companion to burn off energy and keep him company when home alone. Thank you to Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting Woody. |
Travis (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
His foster mom describes Travis “like a football player”. Big. Likes to play and have fun. Purrs and can be picked up but immediately starts looking for what he can get into next. His soundtrack is “doop-de-doop”.
Travis hasn’t shown any skittishness. He’s even fine with vacuum cleaners. Social with dogs of all sizes. Great with kids of all ages. Fine with other cats. Travis is heading to his new family, with doting humans and a feline sister who is just a couple months older than he is. Purrfection! |
Piglet (ADOPTED, December 2025)
|
Piglet is a four-month-old sweetheart who is remarkably calm, cooperative, and exceptionally well-socialized. Raised in a loving home, he’s a confident, people-oriented kitten, who wants lots of contact and start purring the moment you touch him. His affection is constant, his play style is gentle, and - almost unbelievably - he doesn’t “get into” things.
Piglet loves to be picked up and held, and will let you know (loudly!) when he wants more cuddles: definitely a lap cat, and as a bonus he may style your hair and give you little kisses Piglet is a big, chunky black-and-white boy with a bold spirit and a hilarious streak. He’s fearless, social, and good-natured. |
Tigger (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Tigger is a beautiful kitten with a huge, rumbling purr that turns on instantly. Calm, cooperative, and wonderfully accepting of anything you need to do with him, Tigger is the definition of an easy, loving kitten. He enjoys gentle play, constant closeness, and relaxing with his humans. If you want a soothing, soft-hearted companion, Tigger will be glued to your side.
Tigger was adopted into a home with a feline brother. We are grateful to Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting Tigger! |
Taylor (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Taylor is sooo sweet. So soft. So feminine. She purrs instantly when you pick her up and will settle into your arms, staying until you have to set her down. Her foster mom describes her as a “gem”.
She now has a new family to give her lots of love and attention! Thank you to Bosley's Island Highway (North Nanaimo) for hosting Taylor! |
Desdemona & Cordelia (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
So happy to announce that these bonded sisters have found their forever family. Together!
Eight months young when they were rescued from outside, Desi gave birth three days after she came into our care. Cordelia was an excellent aunt to the four babies, and a great comfort to her sister. We’ve been looking for a while, to find the forever family these ladies need: people who will be patient as they settle in and then blossom into the playful, energetic young cats they’ve become. Congratulations to Cordelia and Desi’s forever family! If you’d like to transform lives by fostering and socializing rescued kitties, please contact us or learn more on our Foster page. |
Marilyn (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Marilyn Monroe - Marilyn to her fans - is a gorgeous elegant silver lady, lifting her shoulders to meet your hand when you reach down to pet her. And her purrs!
This young lady likes to be with her people. She also has an athletic side: chasing wand toys when you play with her, fascinated with the “red dot” laser toy, and playing with ping pong balls and mousie toys on her own. Now she has a lovely and caring new family! |
Sari (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Sari is a sweetheart in sporty stripes. This lovely tabby will come to greet you, lifting her shoulders to meet your hand, as you reach down to pet her. Her purrs can be heard across the room. Waggle a wand toy in her direction and Sari will leap and twist to catch it. Such an athletic kitten.
This lovely lady was adopted with Christoper! Kittens this age love having friends of their own age and kind. It is important for their psychological well-being. It also helps them burn off all that kitten energy, instead of getting into mischief because they're lonely and bored. |
Christopher & Robin (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
These adorable twin brothers make everything better with their whiskers and purrs: their rumbling purrs switch on as soon as you look at them. They can chase a toy mouse or a wadded-up piece of scrap paper for an hour straight, then will head to the warmest lap available for a snuggle nap.
Robin has been adopted into a home with a feline brother his own age to hooliganize with. Christopher is going to his forever home with Sari! We realize that people may have hoped that Christopher and Robin would be adopted together. However, at this age, kittens aren't truly 'bonded' and these brothers were social with multiple kittens while being hosted in the Kitties & Cream meet-and-greet room. |
Madonna (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Madonna is a calico cutie. She is very active, loves playing with wand toys and springs, honing her quick reflexes. Little Madonna is quiet and a bit cautious in new circumstances.
Madonna was born in foster, when their pregnant young momma came into CatSpan’s care. Their foster family named the kittens after types of lilies. Madonna and all of her siblings have now been happily adopted! |
Roo (ADOPTED, November 2025)
|
Her foster family calls her “Sweet Baby Roo”. This petite four-year-old grey short-haired beauty, with gorgeous green eyes, is affectionate and loves being near her people, but she’s never demanding - just the perfect balance of loving and independent.
This little lady raised back-to-back litters of kittens. Maybe that’s why her foster family noticed that she sleeps hard and in the same spot for literally 6 hours or more straight? Everyone who has met Roo describes her as a sweet, gentle, kind girl, who has made a wonderful addition to a lucky family! We are so grateful to our foster volunteers! Please check out our Foster page for details! We will mentor you on techniques for choice-based socialization for older kittens and adult cats. |
Sattva (ADOPTED, October 2025)
|
This silver kitten’s name refers to “goodness and light”. Add a bit of playful mischief, and it describes her purrfectly. Smoochy and interested in being with her people, yet very athletic - leaping after toys and chasing springs: Sattva is an ameowzing kitty.
She's found a great home to give her lots of affection and play time. |
Licorice & Luna (ADOPTED, October 2025)
|
Brothers Licorice and Luna are sweet and playful. Ping pong balls and those little plastic coils that bounce are their favourite toys.
Licorice is the mini panther and Luna is the silver sweetheart. You likely guessed that. These boys have spent time with several other cats and kittens, so they’re excellent with friendly cats. We are so glad that the two of them were adopted together! |
Star (ADOPTED, October 2025)
|
Star is the bravest of the Lily litter bunch. She was right from the start, waddling up to her foster mom, and needing to be carried back to the nest, repeatedly. Super playful, Star likes her foam soccer balls and springs, and has a favourite pom pom she carries around the house.
Star has found her forever family: a devoted human and Winnie, a cat-loving dog as a fur sibling. |
Leo (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Leo’s full name is Leopard Lily. He’s the biggest sibling of the Lily litter. He’s beautiful with medium-length white hair with tabby patches. He is more confident than his smaller sister. He can be a little dominating over his smaller siblings but he’s always polite. He enjoys playing with wand toys, springs and his siblings, chasing them around the room. He is a bit chatty, a conversationalist. Once he’s used up his energy, Leo will settle in for a cuddle.
Thank you to Kitties & Cream for hosting the lovely Leo. We are so happy for him and his new family! |
Tiger (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Tiger loves Churu so much you may have to watch your fingers. Playful like his siblings, Tiger also enjoys pets but gets squirmy if he’s held for cuddles.
Tiger is from the Lily Kittens litter, who were born in foster, when their pregnant young momma came into CatSpan’s care. Their foster family named the four kittens after types of lilies. |
Mimi (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Mimi is a complete package of joy and love. With some extras: Mimi is a polydactyl, with extra toes on all three paws... You read that correctly. Three paws. Resilient Mimi is a tripawd. And it doesn’t slow her down one bit.
Mimi was born with a twisted leg. By the time she came into CatSpan’s care, she’d reached the age where her bones had finished growing and they were the wrong shape for corrective therapy. In consultation with our veterinary partner and a veterinary orthopedic surgeon, Mimi underwent surgery to remove that leg and recovered very well. We are grateful to Dr. Preston of ORCA (Orthopedic and Referral Centre for Animals) Vet in Nanaimo, who assessed Mimi and provided accurate information to pass along to her adopters about the slight misalignment in her other hind leg. Consultation concluded that Mimi has awesome mobility and additional surgery isn't in Mimi's best interest. She’s happy and pain-free. We are so excited to share that she has been adopted into a home with an older feline brother, and an extensive family of humans to give her all the smooches she craves. |
Sampson (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Sweet and sporty Sampson is the purrfect combination of affectionate and athletic. And a bit of a character. He has a unique way of drinking from his bowl, and delights in splashing among the droplets in the sink after you’ve re-filled his water dish.
With all his exuberance, he’s a gentle cat, curling into your lap and offering head boops. He always wants to be where his people are. And his purrs can be heard across the room, to draw you closer. Sampson needs the companionship of a similarly-active, young feline friend, in addition to lots of people time. Sampson was adopted with Dart! Thank you to our adoption partner, Kitties & Cream, for hosting these sweet boys in the meet-and-greet room! Providing a safe and comfortable space for these kitties to meet their furever family. |
Dart (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Dart is the last of the five Classic Car Kittens. He loved to play with his siblings, and loves interactive toys. Often too busy to be held for long, he will curl up beside you and nap leaning against you, or in your lap. A bit chatty when he’s trying to get your attention, Dart has the sweetest little meows.
We are so pleased that Dart and Sampson have been adopted together! They weren't litter mates, but became good buddies while at Kitties & Cream. |
Ernie (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Ernie will purr when you come close because he’s looking forward to your attention. He melts when you pick him up. And he’ll seek out your lap for snuggles on the couch and in bed. Very active, this cutie especially loves to pounce on wand toys being dragged across the floor like a ‘snake’.
Ernie has been adopted into a loving family and will have a canine sibling to bond with! We are grateful to Bosley's (North Nanaimo) for hosting Ernie! |
Lilo & Stitch (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
These bonded siblings are always together. Where you find one, you’ll find the other. If they’re not playing together - Lilo loves to hide so she can surprise attack her brother - they’ll be curled up together, cuddling or sleeping. And they love their people as much as they love each other. They will chat with you, with the softest mews. Stitch will sleep beside your head, on your pillow. Lilo will sleep at your feet, or tucked in behind you. She also likes to be held and has ameowzing purrs.
Only seven months old, these teenagers are active and playful. Wand toys are a favourite. And Lilo has a special mousie toy. Lilo and Stitch have enjoyed living with toddlers and other cats. They met a large calm dog in their foster home and were unsure of him. Oh, we almost forgot to mention that they have the plushest-velvet fur. Lilo is the grey-and-cream beauty with the pale blue eyes. Stitch is bigger than his sister, with dark-brown/mocha colouring - with a touch of cream - and bright blue eyes. |
Tabby & Tuxy (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Brothers Tabby and Tuxy received the best news: Their foster family has become their FOREVER FAMILY! You can tell by their happy expressions that the boys have felt part of this family all along. Congratulations to their people, who helped two frightened rescued kittens realize that life with humans is their happily ever after.
We are so grateful to our foster volunteers! If you are interested in fostering with CatSpan, you can learn more here. |
Snickers (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Snickers and her siblings were rescued from a rural property. They spent time in foster, learning how to “enslave human servants” (being socialized) so they could have their safer happier futures in forever families! We spayed their momma so she could join “the Last Litter Club”. Once Snickers was ready for adoption, she was hosted by our adoption partner, Bosley's (North Nanaimo)!
We received a lovely update from her new family to say that Snickers (now Bubbles) has settled in so well after only three days and is a professional cuddler. They also have an older cat, Sandwich, who is very excited to get to know his new feline sister. The family ended their kind message with: "Thank you for bringing her into our lives!" |
Valiant & Shelby (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Shelby and Valiant were part of the Classic Car Kittens, a lively litter of five!
Shelby is confident and curious, he is quick to investigate a new activity. This easy-going attitude makes him a joy to be around. Shelby seems to roll through life with ease. Valiant is playful, confident, and energetic. He enjoys wrestling with his siblings, but then seeks out a quiet, cozy spot to rest. Slightly calmer than some of his littermates, Valiant would likely do well with another feline friend for company to give him time to settle into a new environment, as it will help set him up for success. We are so glad these two brothers were adopted together together! We wish them all the best in their forever home! |
Mustang & Chevelle (ADOPTED, September 2025)
|
Mustang and Chevelle were part of the Classic Car Kittens, a lively litter of five! We are so happy these siblings were adopted together!
Mustang is a gentle soul with hidden strength. He watches his siblings’ antics from a distance and often finds a quiet spot to sleep alone. Don’t be fooled by his calm demeanour; he is an active kitten, full of energy once he's comfortable in his surroundings. Chevelle is an inquisitive kitten who loves exploring new spaces and places. Very agile, he enjoys high locations and chasing laser pointers and battery-operated toys. Initially cautious around new people, he needs time to feel at ease. He quickly regroups, and his curiosity takes over, often the first of the litter to try something new. |
Ash (ADOPTED, August 2025)
|
Ash is a bold little adventurer who loves to play hard and nap hard. Set down a ball track or pull out a wand toy and he'll jump straight into action. If it's playtime and you're in another room, Ash won't hesitate to hunt you down - he even knows how to open doors!
Like his brother, Little Leon, who was adopted a couple of days before Ash, Ash will have a friendly playful feline sister in his forever family. In fact, in maximum synchronicity, Ash’s feline sister and Little Leon’s sister are each other’s sister! Ash’s sister was originally named ‘Root Beer’. Little Leon’s was named ‘Sprite’. The humans don’t know each other. This wasn’t intentional. Just the Universe giving both boys happily every after in purrfect harmony. A big thanks to Kitties & Cream for hosting the boys, and their sisters! |
Little Leon (ADOPTED, August 2025)
|
Little Leon has found his new family! In addition to two doting humans, he will have a playful young feline sister.
For kittens this age, it is important, and comforting, to have the friendship of another kitty in their forever family. Little Leon met other cats in his foster home and in the meet-and-greet room at Kitties & Cream, so we know that he will do well with a new sister, with proper introductions. |
Little Missy (ADOPTED, July 2025)
|
Beneath her fluffy coat, Little Missy is exactly what her name suggests - a sweet, affectionate girl who loves attention.
Little Missy spent a bit of time outside before she was rescued. That time was not kind to her. Little Missy tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) when she came into CatSpan’s care. FIV-positive cats like Little Missy can live long, happy lives as indoor-only cats in a loving home (recommended that any cat with FIV not share a home with a non-FIV cat, to reduce the risk of a fight that might spread the virus). She has been given a new chance at life in her new forever home! |
Reena (ADOPTED, July 2025)
|
Reena is a gentle, inquisitive sweetheart with a quiet presence and a big heart. She’s literally purrfection: gentle, friendly, GORGEOUS, silky, black and so respectful of other cats.
Thanks to Reena's foster home, her life changed from ‘unwanted’ ‘unsocialized’, frightened and shy, to this silky beauty with the confident stroll, heading into her forever family. At the same time as Reena's adoption, her family also adopted a little black kitten from another great cat rescue group. Reena and her new little fur sister are quickly on their way to being best friends! |
Mack & Jagger (ADOPTED, July 2025)
|
Mack is a playful little guy bursting with energy! He takes his playtime seriously and is known for proudly dragging his favourite toys around like trophies. And Jagger is a delightful mix of energy and affection. When he's not adventuring or chasing after toys, he’s more than happy to curl up for a snuggle.
Within a day of being in their new home, these boys settled right in to running and playing; then snuggling up, purring and grooming each other. This is one of the big advantages of adopting two kitties, who know each other, together! |
Valentine (ADOPTED, June 2025)
|
Valentine is as sweet as his name suggests. Slightly more cautious than his sister Reena, he prefers taking his time getting to know you. But once you’ve earned his trust, Valentine leans in for gentle affection. Valentine (now Max) is doing fantastic in his new home!
Valentine and his sister, Reena, came into our care from a hoarding situation, uncertain if they could trust people. They developed confidence in a caring foster family. Would you consider fostering shy rescued cats like Valentine, to give them their chance at a brighter future? Please check out our Foster page for details! We will mentor you on techniques for choice-based socialization for older kittens and adult cats. |
Eda-Mommy (ADOPTED, June 2025)
|
Eda-Mommy is a low-maintenance lady with a sweet, gentle nature. She enjoys being near her people and loves head scratches. After selflessly raising three kittens (who have all been adopted now), it’s finally her turn to be cared for and loved in a home of her own. Eda-Mommy and her kittens were rescued from outside. Eda-Mommy has the confidence and comfort of a previously-owned cat but no one was looking for her/claimed her - she’s happy to be safe now thanks to CatSpan's rescue efforts!
This silver sweetheart has been renamed Gemma, “because she is as precious as a gem”. Wishing Gemma and her person many happy years together! |
Kiki and Jiji (ADOPTED, June 2025)
|
Kiki is a gentle, soft-natured sweetheart, who will reward you with unconditional love once she’s gotten to know you. She will happily curl up beside you (or on you!) for long cuddle sessions full of purrs. And Jiji is cuddly, playful, and always ready to be part of the action. She’ll follow you around the house, rubbing against your legs and keeping you company.
These lovely sisters were adopted together and are playful and purring in their forever home! |
